Dr. Nolan Ng is a native Southern Californian and obtained his BS degree in Biological Sciences from UC, Irvine and his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee with an emphasis in Specialty Contact Lenses.
During his early years in practice and during the span of his career he developed his expertise in the pre-and post-operative care of refractive surgery patients and continued his involvement in advanced vision corrective procedures, both surgical and nonsurgical. While in private practice, he was recruited to be a clinical staff physician at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute Laser Refractive Center. He eventually
departed private practice(temporarily) to work as the Medical/Clinic Director of various LASIK and Refractive Surgery centers throughout California and Arizona.
Dr. Ng has co-lectured on multiple refractive and cataract surgical procedures as well as having assisted in several FDA clinical studies. For contributing back to his profession, he spent several years as an NBEO examiner, an on-call adjunct clinical faculty for Marshall B. Ketchum, SCCO, and an adjunct preceptor for Western University College of Optometry (WUCO). Dr. Ng returned to private practice after purchasing and operating Incredible Eye Care Optometry for over 12 years which he expanded to offer Myopia Control and Specialty Contact Lenses. His practice once served as an externship site for 4th-year optometry students. In 2022, Dr. Ng decided to join Crossroads Optometry to allow himself more time to focus on his passion for teaching optometry students. Currently, he splits his time between private practice and performing his duties for Western University College of Optometry overseeing the development and implementation of a Myopia Control program.
In his free time, he enjoys attending concerts or civic events with his daughter. He enjoys playing tennis, martial arts, and more recently enjoys rollerblading and hiking, but his true love is traveling and snow skiing which he enjoys often with his family.
